The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party took the pupils on a thought-provoking tumble down the rabbit hole, from exploring Alice in Wonderland’s imagery to using the Madhatters tea party as an inspiration for creating food Still life artwork. Channelling happy childhood memories, year groups will explore Tea and food—artists like Wayne Thiebaud, Claes Oldenberg, and Sarah Graham’s artwork will inspire a happy vibe. Students explored these delicious realistic indulgences and nostalgic visions to produce their mouthwatering delights.
Year 8-7 had the opportunity to work more independently to foster an artistic work ethic and a sense of ownership over the prize-giving tent, choosing the imagery or projects they wished to create through research and discussion.

THE CHESHIRE CAT QUOTES

“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?”
“That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,” said the Cat.
“I don’t much care where—” said Alice.
“Then it doesn’t matter which way you go,” said the Cat.
“—so long as I get somewhere,” Alice added as an explanation.
“Oh, you’re sure to do that,” said the Cat, “if you only walk long enough.”
