Step into the enchanting world of the Day Dreaming exhibition, where imagination knows no bounds and dreams come to life. As you ascend the stairs, you are greeted by an intriguing sight—a darkened room illuminated by the ethereal glow of glass Dream jars. Standing tall and watchful among them is the majestic Giant BFG, a towering presence presiding over the dreams contained within. The soft, shimmering light casts an otherworldly aura. There are a stunning collection of 260 Dream Jars, each unique creation by talented artists from various year groups. These Dream Jars transport visitors into a realm where anything is possible.

Passing through a crawl-through door, you find yourself in a sanctuary. The room is adorned with fluffy cloud sculptures suspended in mid-air, creating a serene scene. A violin floats gracefully, its imaginary melodies echoing through the space, while an owl guards the realm of dreams. A flying pig soars amongst the clouds, reminding us that anything is possible. As you explore the exhibition, your eyes are drawn to the painted clouds adorning the walls, painted by Year 6 and Year 8 students. These clouds float, casting a dreamlike ambience throughout the space.

In one corner, Year 1 students unleashed their inner heroes onto paper. Their colourful and imaginative characters embody bravery, strength, and the belief that anyone can make a difference. The innocence and enthusiasm reflected in their artwork serve as a reminder that imagination has no boundaries.

Venturing further, a display by Year 3 students, 'Day Dreaming on the wall’, was inspired by the work of Stanley Spencer. Inspired by the artist, their paintings depict self-portraits of themselves, tapping into the wonders that lie within their minds.

At the end of the exhibition, painted suns collaged with positive words brighten the room. These suns, created by Year 4, promote a can-do attitude and the power of positive thinking.

The Day Dreaming exhibition is more than a mere display of artistic talent; it celebrates the human capacity for imagination, determination, and creativity. Its point is to inspire one to pursue dreams and encourages them to put forth the effort to make them a reality. Just let your imagination soar.
